FINANCIAL AID FOR UNDERGRADUATE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FROM UNIVERSITIES IN THE USA
|
Financial aid for undergraduate international students attending university or college in the US can be a major challenge, with less than 20% of international students receiving aid from US or state sources, with most of that going to graduate students. However, for undergraduate international students who are prepared to invest time in planning and searching, the effort can pay off.
Click on the links in the menu on the right to learn about sources of financial aid for undergraduate international students.
Note: All of the discussion and sources listed relate to financial aid for eligible international students for full-time or at least half-time study leading to an undergraduate degree or diploma. Furthermore, the lists shown are not comprehensive. Rather, they take a practical orientation to listing those sources likeliest to be relevant to a critical segment of the international student population.
Funding sources for short-term studies, international exchanges, travel to US conferences and workshops and funding for non-degree studies, is not included. In addition, the lists shown identify funding sources that have broad applicability; thus, these links do not identify sources restricted to narrowly defined geographic regions or demographic groups.
